  • Students use STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles to design and program robots.

  • Know and understand engineering, automation, and robotics

  • Understand and use the design process

  • Understand and use mechanical gears and gear assemblies

    • understand gear ratios and apply to robot builds​

  • Design, build, and program robots

    • understand basic design principals

    • understand basic, simple and complex robot behaviors

    • arrange gears to maximize speed and/or torque

    • program robots and understand and use pseudocode

    • use and set-up motors and sensors

    • troubleshoot programing errors
