PRESENT IDEAS and PROJECTS

 

  • Biteslide – students work collaboratively or individually to create digital slide books.  Drag and drop straight from Google and YouTube.  Simple to use (nothing to download) and simple to share slide books.  Grades 1-6

  • eMaze – a cross between PowerPoint and Prezi, only much easier for students than Prezi.  Requires e-mail but is free.  Grades 3-6

  • PhotoPeach – create interactive slideshows, can also embed a quiz into a slideshow.  Be sure to click on the educator link. Cost is one teacher/50 students for $9.00/month.  Ability to create multiple student accounts without student email.  Grades 4-6

  • Glogster - great for making online multimedia posters on any subject.  Grades 2-8

  • Thinglink - make your image come to life with music, video, text and images - basic package free!  Grades 4+

  • Scoop.it! - curate and publish web links and information.  Grades 5+

  • Prezi - create engaging presentations that pan and zoom. Grades 6+

  • PixiClip - online canvas that incorporates webcam and microphone.  No sign up required and free!  Grades 2+

  • Ziteboard - zoomable, collaborative whiteboard.

  • Storyboard That - online storyboard creator.  Grades 3+

  • AudioBoom - create audio recordings matched to images. Free accounts up to 10 minutes of recording and unlimited posts.  Grades 3+

  • Vocaroo - simple, online audio recording with shareable link.

  • PowToon – create amazing animated presentations.  Need e-mail to register.  Free membership includes: unlimited Powtoons, unlimited social sharing of your videos on PowToon.com, up to 30 YouTube exports per month, each Powtoon is up to to 5 minutes long.  Grades 5+

  • Make Beliefs Comix - create awesome comics.  Grades 4+

  • DomoNation - great easy interface for creating animated comics.  Requires e-mail to register, provides an imbed and e-mail link.  Grades 3+

  • Pixton - create easy free comics with a lot of character options (pose-able too) and scenes.

  • Zimmer Twins - create your own movies from scratch or from a movie starter. Both free and paid versions available.  Grades 3+

  • Teacher Tube - educational videos, document and photos.  Create a teacher account to share with students and other teachers. Grades K+

  • iTunes U - free educational content on your iPad, iPhone, or iPad touch.

  • EDPuzzle - crop video, embed your voice, embed quizzes to make any video your video.

  • eduCanon - build and share interactive video lessons.  No student e-mail required.

  • Zaption - find ready to use content or create your own. Combine still images, You Tube clips, drawings, quizzes and more. Free for basic users. Grades 7+

  • Stupeflix - free, unlimited videos up to twenty minutes long. 

  • VideoNot.es - Take notes synchronized with video.  Easy to connect with Google drive.  Grades 5+

  • ShowMe - Create video tutorials or videos to show your work with this iPad app.  Grades 3+

  • Real World Math - free math activities designed for Google Earth.  Grades 5-6

  • Desmos - Graph functions, plot tables of data, evaluate equations, explore transformations, and much more – online, for free! Grades 7+

  • Google Lit Trips - free downloadable files that mark the journeys of characters from famous literature on the surface of Google Earth.  A great way to engage students in relevant literary experiences.  Great YouTube videos on how to create your own Google Lit trip - Part One and Part Two.  GLT Read me file.   • Pic-Lits - Create a Pic-Lit using words to explore the emotions and ideas inspired by pictures. Grades 5-8

  • Penflip - Free online writing collaboration tool that enables multiple editors and feedback. Access from desktop, tablet, or phone.  Allows document download as pdf and Word document. Grades 5+

  • Youblisher - free tool to make any pdf document into an online flippable book.  Grade 5+

  • Diigo - Great for online research! Highlight text, add sticky notes, save and share webpages. Grades 6+
